Prepare to lead incident response effectively with this course focusing on strategic command, inter-agency coordination, and communication strategies.

Learning Objectives

  • Demonstrate understanding of the National Co-Ordination and Advisory Framework document (NCAF).

  • Understand the central Government’s Concept of Operations (CONOPS) document.

  • Establish liaison with key personnel in various agencies to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Evaluate situations to exercise strategic command effectively, approve tactical plans, and prioritize resource allocation.

  • Assume incident command, coordinate with other agencies, and optimize response effectiveness.

  • Analyse factors for strategic planning, risk mitigation, and community protection.

  • Utilise technical and professional advice effectively.

  • Engage media resources in community communication and protection.

  • Adapt actions based on incident needs and impact.

  • Manage inter-agency liaison using JESIP Joint Doctrine principles to develop a Common Operating Picture (COP).

  • Implement the JESIP Joint Decision-Making process for inter-agency decisions.

  • Use the IIMARCH document to brief F&RS representatives attending SCG.

  • Provide constructive feedback in a debrief session.
