IOSH Managing and Working Safely

Key areas covered include hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and adherence to safety regulations. Upon completion, participants will receive the internationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely certificate, showcasing their commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, candidates will be able to:

• Understand the importance of their role in managing health and safety in their workplace

• Define key health and safety terms

• Identify hazards and carry out an effective risk assessment in the workplace

• Describe how to identify, measure and control hazards and risks

• Understand their responsibilities in relation to health and safety at work

• List the steps that need to be taken to effectively investigate incidents

• Apply practical steps to measure the effectiveness of health and safety programmes in the workplace

Assessment The course is assessed in 2 parts. • Multiple choice examination in which candidates must demonstrate what they have learnt. • Practical assessment in which participants must show how to apply the knowledge they have gained throughout the course to real life situations.
