ICS Level 1 Revalidation
To refresh and re-validate existing ICS Level 1 Commanders as part of continuing professional development and operational competence assurance.
At the end of the session the delegate will;
1.Understand the responsibilities and duties of a Level One incident commander as prescribed in the JESIP Joint Doctrine.
2.Understand the requirements of an incident commander as prescribed within the National Operational Guidance,Foundation for Incident Command.
3.Have completed a written assessment of underpinning knowledge.
4.Participated in decision making practical exercises.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Existing ﬁreﬁghters, Crew and Watch Managers who hold an ICS Level One qualiﬁcation
Zoom or Cisco Webex
HOW DOES VIRTUAL WORK?
1.Your delegate enrols onto the course.
2.We assign a tutor to your course and all of the taught input is delivered to the delegates via video conferencing just the same as if they were in sitting in a teaching room with us.
3.Our tutors are pretty flexible and the virtual course can even be delivered in the evenings or at weekends.
4.No travelling or hotel accommodation, travel expense or training rooms required.
5.Our practical simulations are delivered using live role players in video conferencing.
6.The taught input is delivered in modules to fit into delegate work schedules.
7.The practical simulation lasts for another two hours including debriefing,
8.No software download is required to access our video conferencing suite of rooms but delegates do need a PC or laptop, webcam and microphone and a decent internet connection.

The course consists of taught input, case studies, written and practical assessment. There is online content and an e-portfolio of evidence stored in Google Drive.
