Dealing with High Rise Building Fires
AIM
​ The programme is aimed at fire incident commanders who are being developed to command operational incidents involving high rise residential buildings up to 26 floors   
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session the delegate will:
​ 1.  Collect, confirm and interpret information to develop a plan of action which will meet specified objectives. This includes information concerning the initial objectives, progress, use of resources, performance of people and resolution of incident.
2.  Develop realistic plans which take account of the unique fire conditions encountered in a high rise residential building and which meet objectives.
3.  Continuously review information and adjust plans to meet changing needs of incidents.
​4.Make sound judgements regarding priorities for action.
5.  Focus on facts and communication clear, direct and assertive information and directions in actual or potential crisis situations.
6.  Make sound judgements and decisions, using all relevant information in timescales appropriate to the urgency of the incident.
7.Conduct a comprehensive handover briefing with the oncoming senior incident commander

Any incident commander who may attend a high rise fire

2 days
CLASS SIZE
Up to 6 delegates.
COURSE ACTIVITY
The course consists of taught input, case studies, written and practical assessment. There is online prep module available and an e-portfolio is generated.

£2950 plus VAT per place at our Centre  or your training venue.
CANCELLATION CHARGES
​Peter Stanley Training is not responsible for the non attendance of client’s delegates at the client venue for a booked event.Cancellations due to delegate non attendance or other foreseeable business activity disruption(i.e operational requirements or industrial action) are subject to the following charges;
(i) less than 7 days full cost of the course is due.
(ii)8-14 days 50% of course cost (to cover pre-booked tutor hotels,loss of business payment to sessional tutors,student awarding body registrations and other associated costs)
(iii)Over 14 days no charge.
